The Huchuy Qosqo Trek is a short trek that is family-friendly and ideal for those in moderate physical shape. Beware, however, of the steep descents towards the end of the trek.
Huchuy Qosqo boasts numerous structures including an 800-meter long irrigation channel that watered the agricultural terraces. The height of its location allows fantastic views of the Sacred Valley and snowy peaks of the Vilcabamba Mountain Range.

Awanacancha – is a textile center and farm that showcases a South American camelid exhibition and products made from the fleece of vicuñas, alpacas, llamas, and guanacos
Ollantaytambo – location of fortress ruins, intriguing stone temples, and a quaint old town with cobble streets and adobe buildings attesting to the existence of a long-gone Inca civilization
Aguas Calientes – common stopover for travelers to Machu Picchu as it is the gateway to the world-famous ruins; it brims with eateries serving local cuisine and is lined with artisanal handicrafts shops; the best feature is the hot springs where guests can take a therapeutic dip
Huchuy Qosqo – translated as “Little Cusco” and set above the Sacred Valley at 3,650 masl; believed to have been built by the Inca Emperor Ubiracochia as a military administrative and agricultural center
